Airspan Networks Inc. provides 4G broadband wireless products and solutions worldwide. The company’s products and services deliver high-speed data, voice, and multimedia services to operators and vertical markets in licensed and unlicensed frequency bands covering from 700MHz up to 6GHz. It offers AirVelocity, a LTE-advanced small cell designed for bringing public access LTE networks to indoor spaces; AirSynergy, an outdoor urban small cell that supports a range of broadband wireless interfaces; and AirHarmony that provides the outdoor micro layer of a heterogeneous LTE-advanced network deployment. It also offers Air4G, a technology solution that combines 4G LTE and WiMAX technologies; Air4Gp Freestyler, a pico base station that delivers small cell and high capacity networks for licensed and unlicensed bands; AirSymphony, a virtual RAN platform that allows the creation of virtual or cloud LTE radio access networks; and AirSON, an advanced algorithm suite designed to address operators’ needs in the deployment of small cells. In addition, it provides iBridge, a transport solution for small cell backhaul and front-haul applications; and Netspan, a sub-network element management solution that manages its network elements in the LTE/4G and backhaul product lines. Further, it offers radio planning, network installation, integration, training, and post-sales support services to facilitate the deployment and operation of its systems; and telecommunications equipment. The company provides its wireless broadband solutions to Internet service providers, and carriers, as well as for various vertical market segments, including smart utilities, public safety, transportation, and oil and gas. Airspan Networks Inc. was founded in 1992 and is headquartered in Boca Raton, Florida.

Airspan Networks Inc. and CTIconnect announced a partnership targeting WISPs and vertical network operators providing CBRS services. Service providers may use CBRS to replace last-mile fiber access, deliver fixed wireless services, point-to-multipoint offerings, for IoT connectivity and to provide faster, more reliable services than WiFi. In 2018, Airspan announced that it had acquired Mimosa Network’s Inc. This recent acquisition adds a series of very innovative Fixed Wireless Access and backhaul products, hence the combination of Airspan’s carrier grade robust system design and Mimosa’s cost sensitive offerings allows operators complete solutions across a wide range of LTE and non-LTE connectivity needs. Mimosa Networks has historically been the global technology leader in wireless broadband solutions, delivering fiber-fast connectivity to service providers and enterprise, industrial and government operators worldwide. Mimosa access, backhaul, and client solutions are deployed in a hybrid-fiber-wireless architecture, and engineered for both Point-to-Point and Point-to-Multipoint connections, across a variety of diverse applications including residential and business high-speed internet access, surveillance, agribusiness, education and hospitality networking. Airspan and Qualcomm Are Cooperating to Develop Integrated 5G Relay Backhaul

Airspan Networks Inc. announced that it will be expanding its relationship with Qualcomm Technologies, Inc., to include development and commercialization of 5G-NR relay for backhaul, using the Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ X50 5G modem. By addressing key deployment barriers of Base Stations such as site acquisition and backhaul, Airspan has successfully delivered close to half a million 4G cells worldwide to customers such as Sprint, Reliance Jio, Softbank, and APT. Airspan’s award winning integrated wireless access and backhaul portfolio, which includes AirUnity (“Magic Box”), AirDensity & AirSpeed will now support 5G-NR relay backhaul based on the integration with the Snapdragon X50 5G modem. Airspan’s world first, truly scalable platform, continues its innovation leadership into the 5G era, by supporting 5G-NR backhaul. This will allow operators to quickly monetize their 5G networks, even before consumers switch over to 5G devices.
