It offers power generation systems, including air preheaters, boilers, control relay panels, electrostatic precipitators, fabric filters, fans, gas turbines, hydro power plants, piping systems, pulverizers, pumps, seamless steel tubes, soot blowers, steam generators, steam turbines, turbogenerators, and valves. The company also provides industrial systems, such as capacitors, ceralins, compressors, desalination plants, diesel generating sets, industrial motors and alternators, gas turbines, oil field equipment, solar photovoltaics, power semiconductor devices, seamless steel tubes, sootblowers, steel castings and forgings, steam generators, steam turbines, turbogenerators, and valves; and transmission systems comprising power transformers/reactors, instrument transformers, switchgears, control and protection equipment, thyristor equipment, insulators, bushing products, and capacitors. In addition, it offers transportation systems consisting of electric rolling stocks, as well as electrics for rolling stocks and urban transportation systems. Further, The company provides non-conventional energy source products that include mini/micro hydro sets, solar photovoltaics, solar water heating systems, and wind electric generators, as well as research and development products, such as fuel cells, surface coatings, automated storage and retrieval products, load sensors, and transparent conducting oxides, as well as consultancy services. Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited Wins INR 1,000 Million EPC Order for 25 MW Solar Power Plant

Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has won an order for setting up a 25 MW Floating Solar Photovoltaic (SPV) Power Plant on Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) basis, at Simhadri in Andhra Pradesh. Valued at over INR 1,000 million, the order has been placed on BHEL by NTPC Ltd. The plant will be set up on the raw water reservoir of NTPC Ltd.'s Simhadri Thermal Power Plant. Notably, this is the second order of floating SPV plant from NTPC Ltd, the earlier being 100 MW floating SPV plant at Ramagundam in Telangana. With this order, BHEL has emerged as the larger EPC player in the floating solar PV segment in India with a portfolio of 130 MW. BHEL is offering EPC solutions for both off-grid and grid-interactive ground mounted, rooftop, floating solar & canal top solar plants, with current portfolio of more than 1 GW of SPV plants. BHEL has been contributing significantly to the nation's green initiatives for developing and promoting renewable energy over the past three decades. The enhancement of its manufacturing lines of solar cells and solar modules has further strengthened its presence in the SPV segment. In addition, space-grade solar panels using high efficiency cells and space-grade battery are being manufactured at its Electronics Systems Division, Bengaluru. BHEL's sustained success and dominant presence in the segment is backed up by a dedicated R&D team, product development groups and a spectrum of high quality in-house developed PV products ranging from Solar Inverters and Solar Passive Trackers in addition to Solar PV cells and module.

Government Reportedly Plans To Sell Stake In Bharat Heavy, Coal India, GAIL, IOC, NHPC, NMDC, NTPC, ONGC

The Indian Government plans to raise as much as INR 3.25 trillion in the next five years by reducing its stakes in some large state-owned firms to 40%, two senior government officials told Reuters. The government has identified a number of state-owned firms, including explorer Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (NSEi:ONGC), Indian Oil Corporation Limited (NSEi:IOC), GAIL (India) Limited (NSEI:GAIL), NHPC Limited (BSE:533098), NTPC Limited (NSEi:NTPC), NMDC Limited (BSE:526371), Coal India Limited (NSEI:COALINDIA) and Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BSE:500103), said the sources, who declined to be named due to the sensitive nature of the matter.
